这首歌成为gay anthem, 其实太容易理解了，看歌名就知道了“天上掉男人”，要多gay有多gay。如同大部分美国的gay anthem一样，这首歌也是有着动感旋律的经典disco舞曲。 在艺术上同时也是camp的经典。这首歌首发于1982年，disco的鼎盛时期。是The Weather Girls这个one hit wonder 乐队最知名的歌曲。The Weather Girls的两名主唱，有一位已经在2004年去世了，另一位，也就是 Martha Wash 在北美同志圈继续享有盛名，并在2006年的加拿大蒙特利尔举办的世界首届同志运动会开幕式上进行了表演。这只歌曲也是一直长盛不衰，被多次翻唱。
