所谓的gay for pay就是指那些身为异性恋为了赚钱而从事同性色情表演的男人。
MTV做了一期ture life就讲了一个gay for pay的男孩的故事。 （ I love MTV!)
这个名叫Aaron的男孩在片子里直言不讳，干一次gay porn平均赚5000美元，同样的straight 只能赚1000美元。他说他和很多有钱的朋友，他喜欢他们的生活方式（有钱的lifestyle). 他对他现在的生活很满意。他每个月只工作八天，赚来的钱足够他过他想过的奢侈糜烂的生活。"A lot of women (fans) ask for pictures," Aaron说, "If I knew I
would get so many hot female fans I would have been having sex with
guys all my life."
我想，和那些和他同样年纪有着继承来的有钱子弟比起来，他是自食其力的。
同志内部对gay for pay的看法也是很有很大的不同。 一方面，同志深深的被直人所吸引，（而且是有理论的）。同言以前的大讨论就说最吸引人的就是那种男人味。同志和直人间发生了无数可歌可泣的单相思事件。gay for pay大有市场也不足为奇。另一方面，一些同志认为喜欢gay for pay是同志的劣根性。他们认为喜欢上一个永远不可能喜欢你的人，即使在fantacy里面，也是可悲的。
当然不排除这种情况，有的人自称是gay for pay, 然后尝到gay sex的甜头后， 那种投入就很难让人相信他仅仅是gay for pay了。毕竟即使在这样的年代，不敢承认自己同志身份的人也不少。

第一次听到这首歌是在看Queer as folk. 这是第一季里的场景，Justin的高中毕业舞会，本来没有答应一定要来的Brian最后出现，带Justin在众目之下而又彷若无人的跳了一支舞。伴奏就是这只save the last dance for me.
看完后在网上去找这支曲子。最容易找到的是Michael Bublé05年的版本。可能是听QAF里面先入为主的印象太深入了，总觉得Buble的版本轻快有余，柔情不足。QAF里面Ben E. King and Drifters的版本，Ben E. King的声音是很爵士蓝调的，能把柔肠都唱断。这也是这首歌最老的版本，1960年的美国冠军单曲，确实称得上是老歌。

这首歌的歌词也是很值得玩味的。它完全是以第二人称的角度，告诉自己的爱人，在舞会上尽情的欢乐，随便找别的男人跳舞，但是，不要忘记谁是最后和你回家的人，所以请把最后一曲留给我。

这首曲子的词作者Doc Pomus是小儿麻痹症患者，他甚至不能自己走路，更不要提跳舞了。他的妻子是一位美貌的百老汇演员和舞者。 我想大家都不难领会到他写这首歌的灵感。我却忍不住想猜想，他在写这首歌的时候，是怎样一种心情呢？wiki上说他是plaintively， maybe， 也不尽然。 但是我却被感动了。 什么时候，什么情况下，我们会对爱人说：" go have fun, just remember to whom your heart belong"。
词作者的本意中，“你”指的是女性，不过整首歌都没有出现“你”的性别。所以，同志们也可以认为是写给同志的。这首歌里更深一层的意思，关于爱情的束缚与自由，是不是也是同志更容易理解呢？
